Best practice in risk assessment and crisis management planning will be on the agenda at a workshop, 2 February, for senior buyers organised by online planners’ hub micebook and London & Partners.
The London session is the first in a series of regional events led by micebook and will take place at American restaurant Smith & Wollensky in Covent Garden.
Attendees will learn more about the resources which can be used to assess risk at pitch stage, how to compile a practical risk assessment and crisis management planning tools. The session will include advice and tips from organisers who have faced real life emergency situations which required them to implement processes outlined in their crisis management plans.
micebook founder Chetan Shah said: “Risk assessment and crisis management continue to be hot topics for event organisers in 2017. Crisis management plans are a vital element in any event organiser’s toolkit. Having a robust plan in place can help you take decisive action should you be faced with an unexpected situation.”
Shah added that delegates would hear from corporate and agency planners as well as industry experts on how they could spot potential risks and implement their own crisis management processes.
Deborah Kelly, head of UK sales at London & Partners, the Mayor’s official promotional company for London, added: “We’re looking forward to working with micebook on this workshop… We’ll be asking senior buyers about the real issues they face to ensure the workshop content is as up-to-date and relevant as possible”.
micebook said it also aimed to discuss Crisis Management with eventprofs in Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds, with details to be announced.
