BVE launches curated news site

BVE, the event for the UK broadcast, entertainment and media technology industries, which takes place at Excel London next month, has announced that it has launched a curated news site for the global broadcast, entertainment and media technology community.

Organisers will use technology supplied by Your PRSS to create BE 24/7 News, a hub for broadcast, entertainment and media technology-focused news feeds, blogs, videos and social media chat from the leading publishers in the sector.

The site will focus in particular on broadcast, production, post-production, live production and AV systems integration news.

Humaira Pilkinton, customer marketing director, Environment, Broadcast & CWIEME at Ascential Events, said: “We feel it is very important to keep our community up-to-date with all the latest news from the key voices in this fast-changing sector. BVE 24/7 News is an engaging, informative and easy-to-use platform, curating and sharing the latest industry news ‘as it happens’.

Sam Williams, director of Your PRSS, added: “We are delighted that our technology has been chosen by Ascential Events and its prestigious BVE event to help grow its influence and audience within the broadcast, entertainment and media technology sector. We look forward to helping BVE further position itself at the centre of the industry community and engage its audience 365-days-a-year through our dynamic news platform.”

The show, which runs 28 February – 2 March at Excel London, has a 20-year history dedicated to the broadcast, production and post-production sectors and, in recent years, has evolved into an all-encompassing live event that also covers the Connected Media, AV, Integration & Live sectors. Organisers expect to attract 15,000 visitors, including from more than 300 leading manufacturers and distributors.
