Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London has announced the hiring of two events sales managers at the ArcelorMittal Orbit, Copper Box Arena and London Aquatics Centre.
The UK’s tallest sculpture and the two former London 2012 venues are now positioning for events and and an exciting 2017.
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park boasts flexible meeting spaces and Shyam Krishnan, the new event sales manager at the ArcelorMittal Orbit is hoping to build upon the success of 2016 which saw the venue host product launches from Ford, De’Longhi and Jagermeister and private venue hires by Jaguar Land Rover, Red Bull and KPMG.
Shyam brings a wealth of experience with him to the role having spent a number of years managing the hospitality programmes for London brands including the Riverside Venue in Heathrow.
Chris Miles (pictured) is the new commercial events manager at the nearby Copper Box Arena and London Aquatics Centre.
Formerly of Vinopolis, Miles will help drive events at the two venues.
Miles said he was “delighted” to be joining the venues’ operator GLL. “The challenge of attracting and delivering a wide ranging and dynamic events programme of sporting and non-sporting events across the two unique venues is very exciting.”
