Fast Forward 15 looks for 2017 mentors

Fast Forward 15, the events industry mentoring programme now in its third year, is seeking mentors for its 2017 intake of talented women.

The programme has helped females in the events and hospitality sector progress their careers, with mentors helping to instil personal confidence.

Conceived by booking and event management agency Zibrant managing director Fay Sharpe in 2015, Fast Forward 15 has gone on to become a benchmark for other personal development initiatives in the sector.

Mentors for the 2016 intake included: Tracy Halliwell, director of business tourism and major events at London & Partners; Liz Young, head of events at Historic Royal Palaces; Steve Brown, London 2012 Paralympic GB wheelchair rugby captain; Josef Jammerbund, head of events at The British Fashion Council; and Robert Quayle, meetings leader & head of events UK marketing company, AstraZeneca UK Ltd.

Fast Forward 15’s year-long programme offers its handpicked mentees the opportunity to develop their personal impact by gaining visibility, exposure and confidence.

“It’s fair to say from the conversations I’ve had, the mentors get as much out the programme as the mentees,” says Sharpe.

“We have a number of our existing mentors continuing on into 2017, but part of the programme is evolution and bringing fresh mentors are part of that.”

Interested parties should send a brief overview of their interest on why they would like to be a mentor, detailing their skills and experience. Applications should be submitted by 21.12.16 to hello@fastforward15.co.uk
