Smyle ups its investment in staff and services on the back of record revenues

Creative agency Smyle Group has reported new significant investments in its team, with a total of 14 new staff positions crated in the last three months.

The agency’s full time team now numbers over 65 staff, including new additions to the client servicing team and a range of experienced new members across the Event, Video, Creative and Production departments.

Says director Matt Margetson: “Client Servicing is more than a function of our business. It’s a commitment to do truly outstanding work for our customers. We, therefore, employed more dedicated team members looking after more strategic based relationships, together with more talent across all our service lines. The aim of this is to develop our relationships with clients and understand their business and ambitions, enabling us to deliver brilliant work for them”.

Smyle says the investment keeps it on track to achieve a record year, and is forecasting over £15m in turnover for 2016, following a series of new business wins including EDF Energy, Rolls-Royce, ITV and Hitachi across a wide range of events and digital and communication solutions in the EMEA region.

According to Smyle Group MD Rick Stainton, around 90% of the target turnover has been already been secured, meaning the agency could exceed its goals.

“We had a record year in 2015, increasing turnover from £7m to £14m. Now six months into 2016 we are on track to beat last year’s level of delivered business which is a huge credit to the team and our clients’ support”.
