The event, which was attended by over 250 invited guests, was held to present the new-look magazine, which was completely redesigned ahead of October’s issue.
Guests were treated to a short film explaining the ideas behind the re-launch before being given a video tour of the SECC.
After a short speech from Conference News’ managing editor, Paul Colston, guests were able to network and make use of Giant iTab’s giant tablet to experience the new magazine and take part in an icebreaker quiz courtesy of Green Hat People.
The new-look magazine features an art-deco appearance together with refreshed content appearance, new sections and more features.
Speaking about the evening, Colston, said: “It was great to see the efforts of our creative team so well received at our Conference News re-launch at Blue Fin in London last night.
“A night-time panorama view of London provided a fitting backdrop to the celebratory evening and we are grateful for the support we had from all our sponsors and partners, including GES and the SECC.
“We look forward to a brand new era of success, both in print and online, and reflecting our readers’ and all eventprofs’ successes too.”
The evening was topped off by Hard Rock Tenerife, who kindly offered a three night stay for two people to a lucky winner. The winner will be announced later today.
