EdComs topped the list of winners at this year’s EVCOM Clarion Awards, taking home two gold awards for their work with clients KPMG and Boots as well as one silver, two bronze and three highly commended accolades.
EVCOM, the association for the live event and visual communication industry in the UK held its awards ceremony, 7 October, at Seven Dials in Covent Garden, London. The audience included video production companies, event agencies and freelancers.
Other multiple award winners included The Edge Picture Company and Brickwall each winning two golds; Worcestershire-based drp with one gold and three silver and MediaTrust taking one of each colour.
The ceremony was hosted by Sam Wilson, director of Eco-Events and Event ISO and also an EVCOM board director. He said: “The Clarions was everything it set out to be and more. A celebration of pioneering leadership by organisations that demonstrate unequivocally the tangible business benefits of ‘doing good’. It was an honour to work with the people behind EVCOM and all those who contributed to the event who made the following possible:
· sourcing a community venue whose mission is to connect local people
· having 91% of attendees travelling by public transport or walking to the event
· zero printed promotional materials
· water jugs, reusable consumables and zero food waste
· work experience provided for events management student
· sustainable trophies made from wood from a sustainable forest
· interpreters for hearing impaired attendees.”

The EVCOM Clarion Awards have been recognising excellence in CSR communications, chiefly through audio or visual media, for 13 years.
