Investing in people pays off for Vista

Creative communications consultancy and event specialists, Vista, have been accredited with a silver award from Investors in People. Assessors praised the agency for ‘genuine enthusiasm for continuous improvement.’

Vista employs 92 people across their London and Leeds sites and following a rebrand in 2015, has continued to deliver on an ambitious business plan. A recent engagement survey carried out by Vista showed that 97% of the team believe in the business plan, understand how their roles impact it, and are excited about where the agency is heading.

James Wilkins, managing director of Vista, said: “The results tell us that our people practices are working: employee engagement scores have gone through the roof, retention has increased to way above the industry standard, we have had more internal promotions, we have gained more new clients, our ‘pitch to win’ has increased. On average 1 in 3 is what you would expect to win and yet we have achieved 70+% success rate. We have better consistency in performance of our people, the sum of the parts is better and we are now able to diversify.”

Steve Burrows, managing director of Investors in People North of England added: “This is a fantastic achievement for We are Vista Ltd and I would like to congratulate all of the team. We believe that your people make the difference and by investing in them you are looking to create sustainable success. IIP is designed to help organisations and their people to realise potential, providing a simple road map for excellence. With their Silver accreditation success.”

Vicky Idle, HR director at Vista concluded: “Embarking upon the Investors in People accreditation has enabled us to understand how well our people practices are working but also provide us with an external benchmark against others within the same industry.”
