The sixth IMEX America opened in Las Vegas, 18 October, with organisers claiming 3,250 exhibiting companies were taking part in the show at Sands Expo and Convention Center.
The exhibiting companies hail from 139 countries and the show, which organisers claims is the largest yet, has 69 new stands.
The first show day proper (following Smart Monday and its 66 sessions powered by MPI – attended by 1,000 meeting professionals), started with a MPI keynote address by serial entrepreneur Jay Samit. Samit offered insights into how different generations are responding to changes in our world and how embracing change enables businesses to thrive.
Visitors to the show have been tasting some of the 129 education sessions at the Media Café and Inspiration Hub and yoga, yoghurt and meditation were all available in the Be Well Lounge.
Most of the education sessions at IMEX America are industry accredited (CEs for CMP certification).
Delegates had also been able to do some ‘netwalking’ and engagement with the local community at Smart Monday, by taking part in Garbage Grabbers-Clean Up, a hands-on community programme developed for IMEX.
Volunteers joined IMEX staff and the Outside Las Vegas Foundation to help clean up the city’s walking trails and outdoor space at Sunset Park.
