EWL Club launches mentoring programme at The Hospital Club

Eventprofs Who Lunch (EWL Club UK) launched a mentoring programme, ‘Evolve’, at their first ‘Networking and Mentoring’ event in London, held on 4 October 2016 at The Hospital Club.

The programme is open to anyone looking to further their career in events and aims to match the industry’s rising stars with its best established talent.

The EWL mentors represent a wide cross section of the industry, from corporate planners to event technology innovators, and from organisations that include Digital Catapult, Barclays UK, InAnyEvent London, Reed & Mackay, London & Partners, Ashdown Academy and ExCel London.

Applications for the first round of matches were received from an eclectic mix of event professionals new to the industry, in addition to those looking for a change in direction and the next step in their careers, and applications are already coming in for the next round of mentor/mentee matchmaking on 6 December.

Helen Moon, founder and director of EWL Club UK, said: “We’re excited to have launched a programme to the industry that is open to anyone looking to get their foot on the ladder or simply the next step in their careers. Young or old, male or female, novice or pro, the Evolve programme will be driven by peer to peer knowledge sharing and networking and will be extended to EWL North and Midlands in the New Year.”

Evolve is a rolling programme will run continuously throughout the year, with applications to be matched to a mentor at each of the ‘Networking and Mentoring’ events being held bi-monthly. The closing date for applications for the 6 December event is 25 November.
