Smith & Wollensky, a newly opened restaurant and event space at the Adelphi Building, will partner with ILEA UK for the venue’s official launch party in September. The venue has invited Nick Deluca, raconteur, columnist and journalist from the New Yorker, to address the crowd on storytelling and the ‘special’ relationship between the UK and the US.
The event will be a showcase of the venue’s conference and event spaces, and will once again underline its outstanding reputation for great music, amazing food and traditional American style hospitality. On show in the evening will be a Sabrage alley, cocktail demonstrations and even butchery tours all available for the evening. ILEA will also be creating additional twists to the entertainment with its own creative interpretations.
Supporting the entertainment will be the venue’s signature quality food and drink, inspired by favourites from both sides of the Atlantic.
Informally labelled one of New York City’s greatest exports, the event space is available for exclusive buy out to businesses looking to train, meet, or celebrate in luxury and style.
Nathan Evans, operations director, Smith & Wollesnky, said: “We’re delighted to be working with ILEA UK for this event. They represent the very best of this industry and understand the unique offering we have to business and brand events.”
He added: “Nick Deluca will also be fitting speaker for this audience, he is a good friend of the business and has spent his life telling stories and making them engaging for audiences. All in all it will be a ‘no holds barred’ evening and we’re going to be laying out the very best of London hospitality with a warm US style welcome for everyone.”
Since its inception in 1977 on 49th Street and 3rd Avenue in Manhattan, S&W has built a reputation around classic cocktails, a fine and extensive wine list and delicious food. The official launch event will take place 13 September 2016.
