Catering supplier KUDOS has won a new contract with Coventry University Enterprises Limited (CUE Ltd) to run catering at their award-winning Technology Park, a 20-acre site currently housing over 65 companies employing over 650 staff.

The Technology Park encourages and supports the start up and development of innovation-led, high-growth, knowledge-based businesses and is located in the heart of Coventry city centre.

Commenting on the contract win, Jon Pryce, KUDOS’ managing partner, said: “We’ve got lots planned over the coming months to reflect CUE’s innovation and bring our KUDOS vision to the venue; including the use of local ingredients sourced within a 60 mile radius of Coventry, which we feel really celebrates Great British produce.

“We’ve also some new initiatives in mind; ranging from rooftop beehives giving us a healthier sweetener for teas and coffees, a campus herb garden, homemade seasonal preserves and fresh bread baked on-site and made daily for event delegates and Bistro customers. So there are lots for people to look forward to.”

Frank Mills, managing director of CUE Ltd, added: “We have ambitious plans for our conferencing and banqueting operation and are delighted that our new partner KUDOS share our ambitions. I am confident that between us we will achieve them.”

KUDOS has also entered a seven-year partnership with The Mermaid to become the Blackfriars-based events venue’s in-house caterer.

The £8m partnership will see KUDOS work alongside The Mermaid to introduce an exciting range of innovative food concepts and menus for corporate and consumer events.

Alicia Duncan, general manager of The Mermaid said: “The KUDOS team are extremely talented and their menus are both inspired and creative – something we pride ourselves on as a venue. Vowing to do things differently in 2016, we felt that it was time for a change and KUDOS is a perfect match for us. ”
