Nottingham Conferences, located at the University of Nottingham and operated under a managed service provided by market leader De Vere Venues, part of the Principal Hayley group, will host the UK Corporate Games 2017 after the city was unanimously selected from the Games Inspection Committee.

The UK Corporate Games is Europe’s largest annual multi sports festival for businesses, providing an outstanding opportunity to enhance corporate teambuilding and individual wellbeing through sport, competition, fun and fitness.

The event will take place from 6-9 July and is set to be one of the largest in its 30-year history. It is also estimated to bring in over £3m of economic benefit to the city.

Andrew May, general manager of Nottingham Conferences said: “This is a great opportunity to bring the city together and for us to showcase our brand new David Ross Sports Village, the latest addition to an already stellar collection of state-of-the-art sporting facilities available at the university.

“This will deliver a wonderful platform to promote team building and business engagement as well as improving workplace health & well-being for as many businesses and organisations as possible.”

Ben Sedgemore, games director, added: “We have been blown away by the quality and the number of impressive facilities that are available at Nottingham Conferences and across the city of Nottingham, making it a perfect choice for us.  We are confident that with its powerful business infrastructure and central location, Nottingham will be an extremely popular destination for business visitors from across the UK and beyond as well as the local corporate community.”

Alan Corlett, commercial revenue director at Principal Hayley Group concluded: “Hot on the heels of Olympic fever in Rio, we are proud to provide a unique platform that brings businesses and their people from all over the UK together in a fun and interactive way to promote corporate wellness and a healthy competitive team spirit in one memorable and engaging annual event.”
