The Royal York Hotel, located adjacent to York mainline rail station, has teamed up with Virgin Trains East Coast to launch a new premium package for meeting and conference delegates.

The “All you can Meet” package offers a seamless one-stop booking service for meetings at the newly-refurbished Royal York Hotel, combined with delegate rail travel on the Virgin Trains East Coast mainline.

The package, available immediately, includes a 24-hour rate at the hotel as well as rail travel and aims to take the stress out of arranging a meeting; eliminating the need to make separate reservations for meeting space, accommodation and travel for delegates. With the shortest journey time from London Kings Cross being 1 hour and 51 minutes, the hotel is conveniently located for delegates travelling from across the length of the UK.

Richard Mansell, general manager at The Royal York Hotel, said: “As we’re located in such a convenient location for rail travellers, The Royal York is the perfect venue to hold a meeting for delegates travelling from multiple destinations, including London being under two hours. With many of our guests travelling from the capital to meet with colleagues in the North, partnering with Virgin Trains East Coast to provide a new seamless service was a natural choice for us and we look forward to a long-standing collaboration with our new esteemed partner.”

Kerry Holland, groups, leisure & events development manager at Virgin Trains East Coast added: “Teaming up with The Royal York marks an important step in rewarding our business and group travellers into York with a first-class experience that fully complements the level of service and comfort on board our trains.”

Connecting the historic city of York with London in less than two hours, Virgin Trains East Coast run half hourly high-speed services to the Capital as well as regular inter-city trains to Newcastle, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
