Corporate buyers get a taste of London

London City Selection (LCS) hosted its first Big City Site Visit on 23 August. The event saw 30 corporate buyers from across the country, including those from Lloyds Bank, Inmarsat and Crédit Agricole take part alongside a number of LCS members.

Delegates attended a showcase tour of 11 venues throughout the City, which included visits to St Paul’s Cathedral, One Moorgate Place, Museum of London, and Barbican. Throughout the day, guests visited their preferred venues and sampled a selection of canapés, drinks and giveaways.

Corporate buyers were encouraged to visit as many venues as possible during the day, incentivised by greater chances to win more prizes with more venue visits.

Prizes included dinner at Osteria at the Barbican, a private tour of St Paul’s Cathedral, lunch for two at London Wall Bar and Kitchen, designer sunglasses and several bottles of champagne.

Oliver Hargreaves, chair of LCS, said: “The event was a great success with 30 buyers attending the day and visiting a number of member venues. We hope to make this an annual event to help drive further business to the City of London and raise awareness of all the great venues in the collective.”
