Conference space: the final frontier… at London’s Science Museum

The Science Museum in London’s South Kensington has opened its new daytime conference space for corporate and private hire.

The Media Space will be available until 20 December and is made up of three separate spaces: the Media Studio, Media Gallery and Media Café.

Located on the second floor of the museum, the Media Studio and Media Gallery can host daytime conferences or lunches, while outside is a separate catering area, the Media Café. This space allows guests to look over the Energy Hall during breakout sessions or refreshment breaks.

The Media Space can accommodate up to 200 guests theatre-style, 128 for a seated dinner.

Jodie Guilford, event sales manager at the Science Museum, says: “We have seen an increase in demand for more flexible, and informal spaces for conferences and breakout sessions so we are expecting the spaces to be a particularly popular choice. The Media Space is currently only available for event hire until December so we are encouraging clients to book early to avoid missing out.”

The Media Studio and Media Gallery come complete with an LCD projector, screen, PA system, lectern and a small stage.

Updated, 18 August 2016: The Media Space is available until 20 December 2016.
