The Royal College of Physicians to host InfoComm International Staging and Event Management course

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) has announced it will host the InfoComm International Staging and Event Management (ICISEM) course 2016.

The venue will welcome AV specialists, technology managers and venue executives to the Dorchester Library on 13-15 July.

The three-day course has been designed to offer event professionals an insight into the background of audio-visual technology and will examine what goes into staging an event, how to minimise costs and how to keep clients happy.

The course will be delivered by live events and AV expert Andre LeJeune, who will cover topics such as pre-show planning, audio systems, stage lighting and video and display systems.

The RCP’s meetings and events deputy director David Parker said: “Being allowed to showcase our extensive and modern in-house AV to industry professionals is always an enjoyable occasion.”

The RCP has recently invested £100,000 in its AV facilities, including introducing the world’s first wireless digital microphone into the venue, installing HD projectors and HD touchscreens into some of its meeting rooms and launching a new in-house streaming system.
