HeadBox expands into Liverpool

Venue booking website, HeadBox, launched on 13 July in Liverpool.

The website launched in London in October 2015 and has gained clients such as L’Oreal, Google, Sky, Diageo, and the BBC.

Monica Sorano, senior planning producer at the BBC said: “We were looking for a great film location with a fairly low budget in a central location. We found what looked like the perfect Space on HeadBox so we decided to view it. It was a fabulous venue for us to film in, amazing value for money and I’m sure we’ll be booking it again in the future.”

Following in the London launches’ steps and its recent expansion to Birmingham and Manchester, the extension means corporates and SME bookers in Liverpool will now be able to book spaces for a range of events.

HeadBox Liverpool’s venue collection includes Royal Liver Building, Beatle’s History Museum and St George’s Hall (pictured).

HeadBox CEO and founder, Andrew Needham, said: “HeadBox is unique in what it can offer both venues, and people looking to book a venue. Our website gives guests all the information they need, lets them directly message hosts, and then pay on our platform too. After our success in London, Birmingham and Manchester, the creative hub of Liverpool was the next natural fit for HeadBox.”

Simon Stephens, at the Everyman and Playhouse Theatres in Liverpool, said: “Working with HeadBox is a great opportunity for us to maximise the potential of our venues. We’re really looking forward to working closely with HeadBox to help open up our theatres to even more people.”
