Hertford-based live experience agency Smyle is producing today’s launch event of the London Technology Week 2016.
The agency was appointed by London & Partners, (L&P), The Mayor of London’s promotional company, to produce the event at The Yard in Shoreditch.
The week’s festival of live events in the capital, organisers believe, will be one of the largest collections of tech events ever seen in Europe.
The Smyle event at The Yard is titled ‘London Convergence Story’ and will reflect disruptive technologies transforming traditional industries such as fashion, healthcare, music and advertising.
Live installations from the world of Fashtech, together with the latest innovations in technology from Imperial College London will provide the landscape for content from professor David Gann (Imperial College London), Mike Phillips (McLaren Applied Technologies) and Matthew Drinkwater (London College of Fashion) among others.
London Technology Week provides an opportunity for London to showcase its technology credentials on the world stage and to cement its position as a place where the world’s leading tech companies want to do business.
Smyle’s creative director Matthew Margetson commented: “Innovation, creativity and technology are Smyle’s key ingredients and what we use on a daily basis to create powerful brand experiences. Our work is all about harnessing technology in ways that add true value to live experiences and which provide intuitive ways to engage audiences. Luckily, the team at L&P and the launch of Tech Week itself echo this sentiment, so this feels like the perfect fit and makes us doubly proud to be a supporting partner for the official launch event of London Technology Week”.
