Rolling £1.7m investment in events transport company

Nottinghamshire-based KB Event has taken delivery of six new tractor units and various trailers as part of a second phase of a £1.7m investment in new equipment.

Provided by Keltruck, the Scania R450 Topline units were put straight into action on the ‘Rod Stewart: The Hits’ summer tour, which has 20 KB trucks touring stadiums and arenas across Europe. New trailers were also used for the Manic Street Preachers show at the Liberty Stadium.

New forklift artics were also booked for a range of outdoor events including the Rat Race at Burghley House and Goodwood’s Festival of Speed later this month.

“With a summer full of outdoor events and festivals, as well as two stadium and arena tours on the road, the new additions to the fleet will certainly earn their keep,” said Stuart Mcpherson, MD at KB Event, “And we’re already looking forward to the next wave of new vehicles and trailers arriving on 1 September.”

KB Event employs 150 staff and specialises in providing transport services for live events, festivals, music tours and corporate events. The company operates a second depot in London and provides post-production management services.
