Hundreds of businesses from Greater Manchester will convene this week at the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club for one of the area’s largest business events.
The Trafford Business Expo 2016 takes place in The Point at Emirates Old Trafford on 7 June and will offer industry professionals a series of free seminars in the Pavilion.
The event will provide an opportunity for businesses to meet and network with new suppliers, clients and partners.
LCCC, meanwhile, has extended its longstanding partnership with the University of Salford, with a new deal that will see the university continue to be the club’s higher education partner. This will mean students will continue to undertake internships at Emirates Old Trafford, as well as being given access to the media and broadcast facilities in the AJ Bell Players & Media Centre. The students will, in turn, assist the club in creating additional content across its digital platforms.
Hannah Burchell, associate director of marketing from the University of Salford, said: “We have had a tremendous working relationship over the past five years and I’m delighted that we will continue to be the club’s higher education partner for the next two years. Creating exceptional industry partnerships is key to ensuring that our students have a great experience whilst they study with us, and that they leave the University with the practical, technical and professional skills they need for a successful career.”
Warren Hegg, business development manager at the venue said he was “delighted” that the working relationship would continue “in this exciting new direction”.
