Events company Eventologists and pharmaceutical marketing consultant Debbie Lancaster have launched a new agency designed to focus on bespoke events for the healthcare industry and the medical associations market.
The agency, which will be based in Ely in Cambridgeshire, will operate under the name of Pharmatologists, and offer services including: teambuilding, conference management, full exhibition design and build, and venue finding.
Rita Chandarana of Eventologists, said: “Combining the knowledge and experience of the healthcare industry with our events experience brings great advantages. The merger allows Pharmatologists to offer its total service package from idea to implementation. Debbie Lancaster and her team bring years of experience as well as a superb reputation of delivering excellent events in the healthcare industry.”
One particular area of expertise for the Pharmatologists team is antibiotic resistance and there are already conferences in the pipeline including: OPAT 2016 at the ICC, Birmingham in December 2016; European Vaccines Conference in June 2017 at the QEII Centre, London and FIS 2017 in December 2017.
The agency says there are other large events planned within the infection arena and a meeting in December on Outpatient Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT). Pharmatologists will also be organising the inaugural European Congress on Vaccines and Diagnostics in Infection and be providing the secretariat for the Federation of Infections Societies Conference in 2017 which brings together the 16 infection societies in the UK to present latest research and share best practice. A thousand healthcare professionals from across the UK and Europe are expected to attend.
The new agency says it will also offer a full secretariat service including sponsorship management for medical associations.
