Former Barbican events leaders Anthony Hyde and Samme Allen have announced their foray into independent consultancy with the launch of the Sequoia Partnership.
The pair say their new focus will be on strategic venue management and business development.
Allen and Hyde are long-time collaborators, having worked together for 10 years the Barbican in London and on the board of the MPI UK and Ireland Chapter, as well as launching the London City Selection venue marketing consortium.
Hyde subsequently went to work for Jacquie Kavanagh’s Trinity Conferences and Allen took a sales and marketing role for Glasgow’s SECC based in London.
Hyde says of the new career move: “Samme and I have worked together across a variety of roles for more than 10 years. It seemed only right that the next step in our journey should be the creation of a consultancy that brings together our passion and knowledge of the industry. New business wins to be announced shortly will immediately establish our presence in the market and we look forward to developing the consultancy over the months and years ahead.”
Allen adds that Sequoia’s core value proposition would be to grow business by making clients’ spaces work harder. Above all else, we are looking forward to developing a fun and inspiring consultancy that delivers sustainable growth.”
