Agency BCD Meeting & Events (BCD M&E) has made three new appointments to its UK events solution team and says the move is a result of growth from new business and existing customers in the UK.
Phil Duffy, who previously worked as a senior project manager on the Rugby World Cup account, will be responsible for initiating and developing new customer relationships and says he is “excited” to be moving into sales “at a time where there is so much opportunity”.
Michelle McMinn joins BCD M&E from Grass Roots and brings over 12 years of experience in the meetings industry, including managing events such as the all new Ford Mondeo and Focus, a multi-million pound launch hosting over 1,000 automotive journalists over 10 weeks in the south of Spain and the Dealer Launch of the Hyundai i10. She will be responsible for managing the UK events team and will report directly into Sue Burgess, senior director for operations.
Finally, Isabelle Azam brings experience from 20 years of working within marketing and management in an international environment for a variety of companies – from Telecomm and IT to finance, FMCG and automotive. Prior to joining the BCD M&E team, she worked in the global event and sports marketing industry and later specialised in designing and implementing events with destination management companies in Italy. She also brings extensive knowledge of the incentive market and multiple languages to the team.
“I am delighted with these three appointments as they allow us to provide a high level of service following our growth, whilst supporting our focus on working with new customers,” said Anthony Coyle-Dowling, senior director for business development and marketing. “BCD M&E is committed to building long-lasting relationships and these appointments allow us to provide tailor made event solutions, allowing our clients to grow and develop.”
