Football and rugby club event marketing consortium Stadium Experience has announced that 71 football and rugby clubs across the UK have been nominated for awards in the organisation’s annual Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards 2016.
The awards, sponsored by Heineken, will take place at the Ricoh Arena, home to Premiership Rugby Club Wasps and Coventry City FC on 2 June 2016.
Around 350 guests will experience a fine dining, an awards ceremony, followed by DJ and a Las Vegas themed after party on site at the Grosvenor Casino Coventry until 4am.
The event is an annual recognition of the efforts and dedication shown by the catering, conference and events teams at football and rugby stadia across the UK. There will be a winner, silver and bronze award presented for 11 award categories on the evening, including the Media Choice Award – Sponsored by Conference News.
The Media Choice Award category is voted for by visiting local and national media. Other awards include:
Non-Matchday Mystery Shopper Award, Star For The Future Award, Matchday Hospitality Award and Operations Team of the Year Award. New for 2016 is the Best Sales or Marketing Initiative Award.
Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events, which manages the entire catering contract at the Amex Stadium for Brighton & Hove Albion FC, have been shortlisted in a record eight categories at the 2016 Awards and GM for Sodexo at the Amex Stadium Brighton, Tony Crosbie, said: “To be nominated for eight categories at this year’s awards is an amazing achievement and is testament to how dedicated the team are to deliver excellent service across the board.”
