Booking agency Inntel has confirmed the acquisition of fellow Essex-based hotel and venue booker, Travel Services.
Travel Services is a family business that organises corporate events for a portfolio of national and international clients.
Douglas O’Neill, managing director of Inntel, explains: “We have just posted our best ever results after 31 years of trading, therefore we are operating from a very secure financial position. To consolidate this security we are now investing for our long-term growth.”
Travel Services is an independent, family-owned business established over 33 years and works with long-standing customers from a variety of sectors including IT, banking, construction and education.
O’Neill says he hopes to add synergies to the business, including offering Travel Service customers the Inntel national reach, negotiating strength and use of Inntel’s meetings management portal. Inntel also tells CN it hopes to leverage Travel Services lucrative connections in the exhibitions industry to enable Inntel to further progress their events management department.
Inntel added that all Travel Services staff are being kept on and will be working from the Inntel office. The agency did not reveal the value of the acquisition deal.
