Capita Travel and Events has launched a new solution, Navigator, aimed at helping businesses with straightforward booking requirements and spend management.
Elements of the new product include a free centralised booking service for bookings made online or offline via a team of experts. Navigator customers also have access to Capita Travel and Events’ supplier programme.
The agency says the product offers a mobile app and claims customers can save 20% on their travel and meetings budget within six months, as well as improving duty of care to their employees.
Colin Freeman, chief customer officer at Capita Travel and Events, said: “Managing travel and meetings for companies that have had limited or no control before coming to us is nothing new. Navigator is clear, simple and low in cost, and allows businesses to quickly start managing spend smarter.
“Navigator strips back the complex elements of travel and meetings management and can be implemented in days without any set up or booking fees.”
In the event of an emergency, Capita Travel and Events says it can generate reports detailing where travellers are due to be for travel and meetings bookings made via the agency.
Freeman added: “Businesses are increasingly concerned about traveller wellbeing and duty of care, but there are many businesses that still don’t know where its travellers are at any given time.”
‘Traveller First, meanwhile, is another launch product from the agency designed to reduce the stress employees can experience when they’re away from home.
Benefits include room upgrades and fitness classes in hotels, rail station lounge access, free Wi-Fi, parking and priority check-in for air and rail. Information is also generated that quantifies the related savings.
Traveller First also offers travellers access to detailed itineraries via the Capita Travel and Events’ mobile app, pre-travel destination and etiquette guides and live travel disruption alerts. Enhanced security measures, including discreet room number allocation at check-in, are also provided by Traveller First hotel partners.
