Agencies First Protocol, Zibrant, Smyle, George P. Johnson, TFI, Grass Roots Group and AMEX Meetings and Events are all backing Meeting Professionals International’s MPI Connects in London on 14 April.
Organisers say the event will bring emerging talent from across the UK to the University of Greenwich for an afternoon of interviews, panel discussions and recruitment advice.
Rick Stainton (pictured), MD of Smyle will be joining an industry panel alongside Helen McCabe of Zibrant and Caitlin Kobrak of George P. Johnson to give insights about the opportunities and demands of industry.
Stainton says: “Smyle is a dynamically growing agency and as such we pride ourselves on achieving exceptional standards. Finding and nurturing talent is critical to our continued success. Investing in the next generation is key to this and we look forward to meeting outstanding candidates who could play a key role in our future plans.”
Agencies will receive CVs from attendees in advance of the event to maximise the chance of meeting their next new event executive.
VP education for MPI UK and Ireland, Jackie Mulligan, says: “We are delighted once again be supporting our industry to connect with talent. Employers from hotel chains, venues, tech companies, as well as event organisations are very welcome to get involved.”
Sue Massey of Grass Roots employed two graduates at the 2015 event and adds: “The event enabled us to meet new talent all together in one place and saved a lot of money on recruitment costs. The students impressed us and the event provided a platform for companies to identify potential event recruit graduates and interns.”
Registrations are now live for students to register at www.mpiuki.org and employers interested in taking part should contact email@example.com
