The Walt Disney Company, Pearson and The Ramblers Association are all set to be part of this year’s Academic Venue show on 11 May.
The show, the only one in the UK dedicated to academic venues, moves to the Royal Horticultural Halls in London for its 2016 edition and is expecting high-profile charities to attend, including Macmillan Cancer Support and Kidney Research UK.
“Every kind of organisation loves the quality and value offered by academic venues, and AVS is the place to find the best of them,” says Natalie Williamson (pictured), marketing manager at organiser Venuemasters. “We’re looking forward to welcoming such prestigious visitors this year, and we’re sure they’ll discover many fantastic new venues among our exhibitors.”
Exhibitors at this year’s AVS will represent 40 conference, meeting and group accommodation venues, in 30 different urban and rural locations across the UK.
The show will also feature a live seminar by Olympic medal-winner Sharron Davies MBE, exclusive offers from venues, and opportunities to network event industry colleagues.
Organisers claim last year’s visitor feedback showed 94% of visitors found AVS 2015 ‘useful’. Kelly Roberts of NUS Services described it as “a great show to attend if you are looking for new venues with great rates”.
