Caroline Mackenzie, director of association services at Zibrant, will join Southport’s Sammi Rudge and Enda Rylands, for a special discussion on the partnership between venues, destinations and buyers, as part of the Association Events Forum programme at International Confex next week.
The session will include the latest research and insight from Southport Conferences on business extension. There will be an interactive Q&A between panel and audience.
Mackenzie has a wealth of experience in working with many destinations, and will bring additional insight to the association market. Rudge, business tourism development officer at Southport Conferences, fronts the destination’s many association events. Additionally, Ryland, GM of the Ramada Park Plaza, Southport, will bring his own experiences of working within destinations to the session.
“Its going to be a really strong session and we’re delighted to have Caroline on the panel, especially to hear her thoughts on how business extension can become a source of growth for association meetings,” said Rudge. “The session last year was well received and we’re hoping to move the debate forward again.”
Southport Conferences will also be exhibiting at International Confex on Stand G58 and encouraging further dialogue on the opportunity business extension presents to event organisers as well as destinations and venues.
