The Association of Event Organisers (AEO) returns to International Confex, 3 March, with a full line up of speakers for its Sales Conference. The conference, on Day 2 of the show at Olympia London is part of a major educational programme and the AEO brings it back back, it says, “because of the success of the sessions in 2015”.
The conference will be a day of education focusing purely on effective sales behaviours for event professionals.
“We got an outstanding response to the conference last year and some great feedback that has allowed us to curate the content again this year,” says AEO CEO Chris Skeith.
“The sales proposition for organisers is continually evolving, as are their customers, so we’ve crafted a programme which sees experts from the wider sales community and other sectors, to share best practice and current trends, themes, and success stories,” he adds.
The day will kick off with a keynote session from Ben Turner, general manager of the Association of Professional Sales, discussing the importance of ethical sales practices. Thorsten Kolbinger from Ungerboeck Software International, will then present a session on sales and pipeline optimisation strategies.
The AEO will also shine a light on its award-winning, FaceTime initiative which will see FaceTime’s Jenni Jaques, Helen Curl from UBM and Rob Ellis, COG Research, presenting a session on Selling the Power of Live Events to your Customers.
Jackie Fast from Slingshot Sponsorship will also bring her experience and energy to the afternoon sessions before Joe Edwards closes the conference with a session on Selling by Social Media.
