Keele case study hauled to the fore as AVS returns in May

Venuemasters, the marketing consortium for meetings and event facilities at 70 academic venues across the UK, is bringing its annual exhibition, the Academic Venue Show (AVS), back to London on 11 May, with a twist of strawberries and cream.

Show organisers are keen to underline how major events and members’ venues make ‘a winning combination’, just like the famous dessert. And to demonstrate it, they are making a case study of member venue Keele University Conference and Events. The Staffordshire venue will be highlighting the range and scale of events held at Keele during 2015.

Keele University Conferences and Events hosted hundreds of meetings last year, with 35,000 guests using the facilities on their campus. The Keele team were involved in hosting the ‘Europe Corporate Games’ at the end of June and won several awards for the quality of catering, sustainability and delivery of customer service.

The AVS this year moves from ILEC in Kensington to The Royal Horticultural Halls in Westminster, with free entry for event planners.

Marketing manager, Jo Mitchell, said: “The exhibition is a great opportunity for event organisers to discover 40 academic venues, like Keele, that are looking forward to working with them to create more winning combinations.”
