Central Hall Westminster is reporting a 15% increase in events booked at the venue by Chinese businesses during 2015, compared to 2014.
The London venue attributes the increase in confirmed business and enquiries to a number of marketing campaigns targeting the Chinese market led by head of marketing, Maria Schuett.
Event wins include from organisations such as Huawei, Jiangsu and Nanjing Province.
The venue further attributes the number of business wins to a Mandarin version of its mobile website which complements the Mandarin version of its desktop website.
In addition to the business bookings, Central Hall Westminster is hosting its second Chinese New Year Concert with the globally celebrated ‘China National Orchestra – Tianjian’ next week.
Paul Southern, managing director of Central Hall Westminster, said: “We are pleased to have had so much interest from Chinese organisations as we continue to develop our relationships within this market. We hope to drive further business through our Mandarin website and will continue to develop relationships with a planned visit to Shanghai later this year.”
