Top Banana appoints Simon Tate new head of film

Midlands and London-based events agency Top Banana has acquired the services of Simon Tate and Emanation Creative to help it achieve ambitious growth targets.

Tate, who has created programming for broadcasters like The Discovery and National Geographic Channels, as well as CNN will fill the newly created role of head of film. He has also worked on projects for clients as diverse as Virgin Media, No 7 Makeup, British Gypsum and United Biscuits.

Top Banana MD Nick Terry said: “We wanted to further expand our expertise in this area to cater for the increased demand for film from our clients. Simon will be spearheading the development of our existing in-house capability to deliver moving image projects that deliver tangible results in this highly visual age.”

Also new to Top Banana is Andrew Mossop, who joins as client services director in the London office. He has spent over 20 years running event agencies in London and Asia, delivering projects in 28 countries for clients including MasterCard, Omega and Chanel.

The new appointments bring Top Banana’s team up to 50-strong across its two offices. Top Banana’s clients include Primark, Gucci Group, Bentley, Danone, Barclaycard and Bacardi.
