Performing over drinks in Pall Mall

Over 100 event professionals from agencies such as KruTalent, Top Banana and CTN networked with events executives from the likes of Ernst & Young, Fleishman Hilliard Fishburn and the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment at the Institute of Directors in Pall Mall on 18 January.

There was a strong political turn out for the speaker bureau Performing Artistes annual New Year Drinks event, with former Chancellor of the Exchequer Lord Lamont catching up with the likes of Gyles Brandreth, Lembit Opik and Neil and Christine Hamilton.

Entertainment was provided by up and coming Irish Comedian Rory O’Hanlon, musical impressionist Jess Robinson, and stand ups Tom Allen and Angela Barnes, while a special tribute was paid at the end of the evening to Simon Weston (pictured, left, with Performing Artistes director Mathew Fisher) who was awarded the CBE in the New Year’s Honours list, and was making his first public appearance since his award.

JJ Jackson, director of Performing Artistes, said: “Our New Year Speaker Drinks have really become a feature for the event industry at the start of the year, and they continue to grow…at this rate we’re going to have to get a bigger room in 2017!”
