The judging panel for this year’s MyEvent.Vision has been announced with senior representatives from The Financial Times, Disneymedia+, Storm Model Management joining the team.
The panel will again be chaired by Chad Lion-Cachet, managing director of Events International Group (EIG), the main supporters of MyEvent.Vision.
The format of MyEvent.Vision has been described as Dragons’ Den meets The Apprentice. Applications can be from anyone who has an idea that will work in practice and be recognised as distinctive. The winning candidate will be offered a full-time or freelance role with the EIG events agency, £5,000 prize money as well as investment into the event concept.
The judging team will consist of industry leaders across the business, fashion, entertainment, food and sports event sectors and include; Dominic Good, the FT’s global sales director; Simon Chambers, MD of Storm Model Management; Bobi Carley, commercial director, Disneymedia+ UK & Ireland; and Jonny Dawes, director, Raw World.
Each of the panel was also involved in last year’s competition and will be responsible for selecting the six best event proposals that will then make it to the final presentation pitch.
Lion-Cachet said: ‘The enthusiasm with which the industry has embraced MyEvent.Vision has been impressive. Anyone thinking of entering the competition shouldn’t see this merely as the chance to win a great prize but an opportunity to shine in front of key figures in the industry.
“It was a terrific experience last year and we’re looking forward to seeing more great event ideas and meeting event entrepreneurs this time around. If you have an inspiring and creative event concept, you really should be participating in MyEvent.Vision.”
The deadline for entries is 8 February and the competition is expecting another high standard from event professionals across the UK.
