With record sales figures, increased investment, and a new venue, 2015 has seen UK venue brand thestudio grow its business by 20% overall, bringing talk of another site opening in the spring of 2016.
After setting its sights on Yorkshire, the group launched its third thestudio venue in Leeds in early September.
Before the opening, the Leeds venue had more advanced bookings than the Manchester venue had prior to its opening in 2010.
The official launch of thestudio, Leeds on 5 November was a glamrock-inspired party that saw guests enjoy firework-themed cocktails, face painting, and a David Bowie tribute act.
Although the new venue destination has not been revealed yet, the group says it is due to open during spring 2016.
thestudio Birmingham, and Manchester both broke their sales records for the year, with Birmingham seeing a 26% increase in bookings and Manchester following suit with a 10% uplift.
Commercial director for thestudio, Julian Kettleborough, said: “The team and I could not be happier with thestudio’s success in 2015. The launch of our Leeds venue was definitely a highlight for us and we can’t wait to do it all over again next year.”
