Hotel du Vin and Malamaison on acquisition trail

The Malmaison and Hotel du Vin brands have boosted their portfolios.

Frasers Hospitality, the hospitality arm of Singapore-based Frasers Centrepoint, has expanded its portfolio overseas further with four new British properties.

It has bought a portfolio of four developments in Britain for £36.1 million from Swire Properties Hotels Holdings, through its subsidiary Malmaison and Hotel du Vin Property Holdings.

The hotels include the 75-bedroom Avon Gorge Hotel in Bristol and The Montpellier Chapter in Cheltenham, which has 60 contemporary style rooms and a spa. Also included in the deal is the 71-room Hotel Seattle in Brighton and

Under the Malmaison and Hotel du Vin brands, the total number of boutique hotels has been bumped up to 33, with 2,347 keys – the industry term for guest rooms in a hotel.

Mr Paul Roberts, chief executive of Malmaison and Hotel du Vin, added: “It was immediately apparent that they shared the approach and value of our brands, with passionate employees determined to make every guest experience in unique settings a memorable one.”
