Healthcare and finance business boosted an agency’s profits by 88% in the last financial year.
Coventry-based Conference Care posted pre-tax profits of £970,000, up from £514,000. Turnover increased 40 per cent, from £2.04 million to £2.87m.
The agency hired four new staff members and brought back a fifth, to take staff numbers past 50.
Director Chris Peacock told CN: “We had significant new customer wins in the healthcare and finance sectors and we undertook some high value special projects for clients. I would also attribute the performance to ‘hard work paying off’ – keeping our great customer service ethos, and high levels of staff throughout the recession which has led to us keeping our key contracts and therefore being well positioned as the commercial market has strengthened. Our continuing investment in both our own people and technology, enabling us to work most effectively for our clients.”
