A leading experiential agency has hired a global business director.
Nicola Eyles will develop and grow the business at WRG.
Eyles has more than 15 years’ experience in international marketing, client handling and communication. She will be tasked with developing WRG’s Shell account and strengthening its global presence in the energy sector.
Eyles has worked exclusively within the energy and maritime sectors for almost eight years, holding senior positions both agency and in-house. Her most recent role was as head of communications for JLA Media, a niche PR consultancy serving the global maritime and energy industries. She has had broad exposure across international markets, including heading up the marketing and communications department at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), one of the world’s leading ship classification societies, in China.
Eyles said: “I’m thrilled to join WRG at such an exciting stage in the development of the business and on such a prestigious account.
“I hope that my industry knowledge will contribute another dimension to the capabilities of WRG, blending with the formidable skills of the existing team to evolve the service offering we can deliver to clients like Shell For me it is all about understanding a client’s business, not only the way they do business themselves but also the way in which their clients and other stakeholders do. Gaining this insight allows the formation of truly effective communication strategies that add to the success of a business. WRG is renowned for delivering beyond the expectations of their clients and I’m looking forward to being a part of this team.”
Danny van Otterdyk, head of communications production at Shell, said: “We’re looking forward to working with Nicola and the wealth of experience she will bring to the agency-client relationship.”
