DFS conferences to stay fresh, following Velodrome Olympic Park event

Cheadle-based creative events agency The fresh Group is reporting securing a multi-year contract to deliver retailer DFS’s conference. The win comes off the back of the agency delivering the 2015 conference at the Velodrome, Olympic Park in London last month.

Fresh has worked with DFS since 2013.

The 2015 conference was a one-day event for 420 store managers and senior head colleagues and fresh provided the creative strategy and concept, event theme, content management, online registration, delegate management, event logistics and entertainment.

There was a keynote speech by Sir David Brailsford and DFS Team GB Ambassadors included Denise Lewis, Laura Trott, Max Whitlock and Adam Peaty. Delegates were able to experience a Q&A with Lord Sebastian Coe followed by rockaoke and a private late night after-party.

Laura Taylor, director of client delivery at fresh said: “We feel very fortunate to have been involved in the DFS journey over the past three years. It has enabled us to build a solid and trustworthy partnership and benefit from a deeper knowledge and understanding of their brand and business. We feel very excited to be extending this partnership and look forward to creating new and innovative event experiences in the future.”

Andrew Stephenson, DFS HR director, said: “Delivering conferences that bring to life our business strategy is fundamental to engaging our employees. Finding an agency who understands our culture and what we’re trying to achieve is key to that success.”
