ConferenceLeeds appointment targets international business

ConferenceLeeds, has appointed John Duncan as visitor economy business development manager. The move is part of the bureau’s efforts to drive conference and business events into Leeds both nationally and internationally.

Duncan previously worked in a business development manager role within Leeds City Council and says: “Leeds is an exciting conference destination with tremendous growing power and ConferenceLeeds proudly offers over 250 conference venues for hire throughout Leeds and West Yorkshire.

“My new role also allows me to regularly meet with world class speakers and industry professionals that are participating in conferences I am involved with.”

The city’s national and international conferences in the pipeline for 2016 include the Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons (AUGIS) conference and ICCA UK & Ireland.
