ACC Liverpool celebrates a decade of London showcases

ACC Liverpool welcomed guests to its 10th annual London Showcase, at Bloomsbury Ballroom last week.

Around 120 guests in the association, corporate and exhibition sectors, along with agency representatives, attended an evening of networking under a theme of ‘It’s Showtime!’

The recent launch of Exhibition Centre Liverpool was to the fore in the presentations from CEO Bob Prattey and director of conference and exhibition sales Kerrin MacPhie.

The new facility has doubled the waterfront complex to 15,225sqm of integrated event space and MCM Comic Con is one of the big events booked in.

Other Team Liverpool venues and partners were also at the showcase, including the four-star Pullman Liverpool, which will open in February on the ACC Liverpool site.

Liverpool Convention Bureau, Liverpool Football Club, the Crowne Plaza, the International Festival for Business and Virgin Trains all had pods at the showcase and mingled with guests from organisations including the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers, NHS Confederation, RenewableUK and Diabetes UK.
Entertainment was provided by The Twin Swing Charleston band.

“The Showcase provided an opportunity for us all to reflect on our phenomenal journey since our very first Showcase in 2006 and to thank our valued contacts who have supported us,” MacPhie told the audience.
