The Vox Conference Centre at The NEC’s Resorts World Birmingham is to host this year’s Arqiva Radio Academy Hall of Fame Lunch.
The Vox will host the lunch, 10 December, honouring some of radio’s most outstanding personalities, with previous inductees including Trevor Nelson, Nick Ferrari, Annie Nightingale, Margherita Taylor and John Peel.
Director of sales for the Vox, James Eslton, said: “We are thrilled to be hosting Hall of Fame Lunch in its first year in Birmingham. Our new Vox conference centre has the flexibility to host prestigious events in modern settings, and we are looking forward to welcoming some of the UK’s top radio talent to our venue.”
The BBC Music Radio Awards will be held at the nearby Genting Arena later that day.
Roger Cutsforth, MD of Radio Academy said: “We wanted a new location that reflected a modern, dynamic, flourishing radio industry. The Vox is a beautiful, contemporary venue and the transport links are excellent, making it easy for the UK radio community to come out in force and support the lunch, especially our patrons, affiliates and members in the West Midlands.”
