Beaumont Estate has reported a 20% rise in bookings for large-scale corporate kick off events over the past two years, with budgets specifically ring fenced for experiences.
The Old Windsor venue says clients in the pharma, financial and media sectors have been hosting most of their kick off events, which now make up 38% of enquiries being taken at Beaumont Estate.
More than incentive and teambuilding away days, kick off events are often large and creative events with the purpose of delivering the company focus.
Emma Joy, sales director at Beaumont Estate said: “Organiser’s budgets are specifically ring-fenced for kick off experiences that often utilise all of our event spaces. Clients are looking to set out key messages and targets for the coming year and look for solutions to encourage participation from all levels of employees.”
Beaumont also reports the recession and slashed budgets saw a sharp decline in bookings for teambuilding activities and events designed to train employees, heighten creativity and boost moral from 2010-2013. Post-recession, however, the venue management says it is witnessing the emergence of customised events on a larger scale (100+) with more budgets.
Beaumont also reports that clients are demanding greater transparency and kick off events designed to deliver key messages to as many employees as possible.
Beaumont adds that attendee numbers at these events have increased by approximately 10% year on year since 2013, with delegates also coming from overseas, thanks to the venue’s proximity to Heathrow and 414-bedroom capacity.
