Ireland shows its wares to London

Irish suppliers are making a song and dance about their product.

Up to 60 meetings and events buyers will join ‘Meet in Ireland’ today for the annual ‘Ireland meets the West End’ event.

The workshop style meeting will see buyers do business with Ireland’s M&E product before spending an evening at the theatre.

Last year’s event saw 50 meetings professionals take a closer look at Ireland, meaning this year’s event has grown. Event buyers from across the UK will be hosted.

The meeting will be based at the Corinthia Hotel in London’s West End and guests will be able to choose between see shows of ‘Gypsy’ or ‘Beautiful’, before a nightcap at the hotel.

“The UK is such an important market for Ireland and we find this format gives us the chance to both do business and have some fun in the capital together with our customers,” said David Boyce, deputy head of Great Britain, tourism Ireland.

“We’ve got some amazing venues, DMC’s and destinations on show. Last year we did some great business so we’re looking to build on these relationships again this year.”
