IMEX extends European hosted buyer programme

The IMEX Group has announced that it is extending its European hosted buyer programme for IMEX in Frankfurt 2016, now offering a three-day, two-night programme.

Organisers say the move follows consultations with hosted buyers who had expressed a desire to stay longer at the Frankfurt exhibition.

The new option is open to all buyers and is in addition to the existing one-day and two-day programmes, as well as the long-haul hosting package of 3-4 nights.

Carina Bauer, CEO of the IMEX Group, said: “Many hosted buyers told us that they wanted more time to walk the aisles, soak up the inspiration and attend educational events. By offering buyers the opportunity to spend more time at the show we will be ensuring that their time out of the office is more productive, as well as being less rushed.

“We understand and recognise that each buyer’s personal and business needs are different and so we aim to make each visit as productive and tailored as possible.”

Under the IMEX system, buyers are able to choose the exhibitors that match their needs for individual appointments, as well as the opportunity to book into stand presentations for more general fact-finding about destinations or hotels.

The organiser also said it would announced further enhancements for the 2016 show which takes place at Messe Frankfurt 19–21 April 2016.
