Excel London to open new £1.5m training facility for New Year

The Excel London venue has announced it will launch its new CentrEd at Excel, training and meeting facility, on 1 January 2016.

The  facility will be linked to the main Excel venue and represents a £1.5m investment. It will offer a bespoke meeting space and panoramic waterside views across London.

Executive director at Excel London James Rees, said continued investment in London’s transport infrastructure, meant that Excel now “represents a destination that’s easy for people to reach and do business in”. He added the idea was to provide a new space that was “conducive to learning, with access to green spaces and fresh air, alongside the waterside setting of Royal Victoria Dock”.

“We are very excited about the launch of CentrEd at Excel, which we believe will provide all the right ingredients to deliver a complete meeting experience,” Rees said.

CentrEd at Excel will include 29 training rooms for between 20 and 400 delegates and offer a private entrance and dedicated reception.

In addition, the facility will include free Wi-Fi and access to a variety of after-hours options such as teambuilding and BBQs on the dock.
