Engineering group powers ahead

An engineering trade show organiser has unveiled its plans to expand.

The Engineering, Electronics and Embedded Design Shows hosted 23 conference sessions including presentations from Land Rover BAR, the team aiming to win the Americas Cup for the UK, Williams Advanced Engineering, Rolls Royce, ARM and Hybrid Air Vehicles.

In addition the exhibition housed four workshop theatres open to visitors wanting to learn new skills or take away practical design tips and tricks.

The two-day event brought together more than 4,000 design-engineering professionals to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

Now, the Engineering Design group of shows is gearing up for the fifth edition next year, with the aim of evolving further in 2016 to keep pace with the needs of its market sectors.

The first confirmed addition for 2016 is Tomorrow’s Engineering Designers, an exhibition and conference aimed at promoting careers in engineering to post-graduates, which will run alongside the Engineering Design Show.

“We now have a waiting list for exhibition space at the 2016 event and with the new features and innovations we have planned I am confident the Engineering Design Shows will continue to offer both visitors and exhibitors a fantastically immersive engineering experience,” said Ed Tranter, executive director at Findlay Media and managing director of Mark Allen Exhibitions.

“As the largest UK events specifically for design engineers, the 2015 Engineering Design Shows have once again been a huge success – the visitor numbers were up on 2014 and the events housed the greatest number of exhibitors to date, over 80 per cent of which have already confirmed their stand space again for next year,” added Tranter.
