The O2 in London demonstrates its events versatility again this week by transforming into a stage for the biggest indoor tennis tournament in the world, the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. It will be the seventh consecutive year the event has been held at the venue.
The tournament, which runs 15-22 November, sees 30 matches between the world’s top right men’s singles players and doubles teams, in a knockout format.
Wasserman Experience is working with ATP to manage the indoor experience. Wasserman Experience also worked with ATP to produce the official launch of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals on 12 November at City Hall.
This year, the ATP launched their social media platform, MyAYP, powered by Vixlet. The app offers behind the scenes content and gives fans the chance to interact with their favourite tennis stars. To launch the app, Wasserman Experience were asked to provide an interactive experience in the fan zone, aiming to raise awareness of the app and generate fun and engaging content.
ATP executive chairman and president, Chris Kermode, said: “Since 2009, over 1.5m fans have attended the tournament, achieving an unprecedented number of sold-out crowds, making it the biggest indoor tennis tournament ever staged in the world.”
